The Departed
Last night, I watched "The Departed." I don't watch too many movies, but when it comes to the 'Drama' genre, one of my favorite themes is the 'Crooked Cop' motif. The movie didn't disappoint. I was stressed as hell throughout most of the movie. If you haven't seen it, definitely watch it.

I actually bought the Departed on HD-DVD a few weeks ago, because it had a regular DVD side as well. I ended up returning it, because it came out on Blu-Ray...

As you can tell, I'm hoping for Blu-Ray to win a little more than HD-DVD. That's just me though

Nice to have you back, dude. Both are probably going to stick around. I don't really understand why one is better than the other. At the end of the day, they're both going to put out high def video using similar video and audio formats. Both camps are backed up - Blu-Ray by more powerful studios, and HD-DVD by more powerful technology entities. So, who knows who'll come out victorious?

I didn't know you had a BD player. Since I don't own an HD TV and because I choose not to buy movies (for the most part), I don't really give a shit who wins.

Maybe Sony will win this format war... Plus, saying, "Yea, I bought 'The Departed' on BD," is going to take some getting used to.

it's based on a movie called "infernal affairs" (from hong kong) which also has a sequel i believe... i liked the chinese version. that was stressful too. you should go rent it!
